The SR 1601 series consists of five models with a choice of 2 diesel (2 cyl and 3 cyl), petrol or LPG engine, or 48 V battery powered operation for outdoor or indoor use. The powerful cleaning action is ideally suited for cleaning of manufacturing areas parking lots, construction sites, warehouses etc.
The dust control, for example, is outstanding, and airborne particles are controlled more effectively thanks to the DustGuardTM system. And less dust means less cleaning elsewhere. Introducing the Nilfisk RS502
The RS502 replaces the popular RS 501, and is designed for fast and productive cleaning of limited space outdoor areas. Sidewalks, parking lots and loading bays are typical end-user applications. Because of its compact design it is easy to transport between job sites, making the RS 502 an ideal choice also for contract cleaners wishing to offer a full range of cleaning services.
The tight turning radius allows the unit to clean in areas that typically have to be swept manually. Yet despite its compact dimensions, the RS 502 has a large 240-litre polyethylene tank for extended operating use, long life and reliability. It also features a stainless steel hopper, adjustable speed brushes for adapting to varying surface conditions and dirt levels, and hydrostatic transmission that enables speeds up to 20 km/h. The 34 hp engine makes the RS 502 the most powerful sweeper in its class. The unit is fitted with a diagnostic box that monitors the maintenance programme, and indicates any misuse of the machine by the operator

How A Sweeper Works
A broom sweeper, ride-on direct throw is the most common variety which flicks the debris into a hopper in front of the broom which has a trap door ramp which can be closed when sweeping is finished so the load can be lifted up over a bin then the door opened and the debris let go into a bin.
